In March 2010 a skeleton-like tattooed young man opened a personal facebook page, and reached one million contacts in a very short time. Nicola Formichetti, Lady Gaga's fashion director, fascinated by Rico's unique image decides to contact him: Rico Genest's career begins this way, rising fast in fame. On January 19th he walks with Lady Gaga at Thierry Mugler's show during Paris Fashion Week. The following month he plays the co-protagonist of the new video "Born this way" where Lady Gaga wears an extraordinary make up that makes her look like Rico's female version.
His first editorial is for the March issue of Vogue Japan with the great photographer Mariano Vivanco, styled by Nicola Formichetti
